The Technical Development Coordinator is the technical expert for Identity and Access Management, designing the client infrastructure and administration procedures for authentication, email and shared file, including security procedures, file shares and Active Directory Organization Units and resolving escalated problems.

Bi-weekly Salary: $3,149.76 to $3,609.21 

Bi-weekly Work Schedule: 75 hours 

Location: Regional (optional telework), must reside in BC

Responsibilities: 



  • Plans and coordinates major changes to the client’s environment. (These changes may result from data restructurings, new technical functions, infrastructure migrations, government reorganizations, new clients, and creation of new programs or branches.) 
  • Works with client organizations to gather requirements. Designs client infrastructure, prepares implementation estimates, and plans and manages implementation. 
  • Assists with Security investigations. 
  • Develops and evolves the client infrastructure for authentication, email and shared folders. (This includes the client IDIR Organizational Unit, email container and structure of shared folders.) 
  • Develops processes and procedures for security, authentication and file administration. Analyzes risks and develops strategies to improve processes and procedures. Oversees the design of client Organizational Unit structure. 
  • Participates in environment change processes. Defines business requirements for Identity and Access Management improvements and recommends optimum design and best practices for product and service upgrades. 
  • Provides expert technical guidance to the Identity and Access Management team. 
  • Communicates security concepts and solutions to the team. Recommends common toolsets and administrative structure. 
  • Analyzes problem trends and recommends problem resolution procedures. 
  • Financial responsibility - Develops quotes (resources and timelines) for clients. 
  • Direct Supervision - No direct supervision.  
  • Project Team Leadership or Training – Provides expert advice and training as required to Identity and Access Management team.  

Position Requirements: 


  1. Related diploma or certificate and related experience or an equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training. 



  • An undergraduate degree from a recognized university (in business and/or information technology), or a related diploma or certificate 
  • plus, a minimum of two years progressively more responsible ID Administration experience  
  • or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. 

 


  1. Experience in the following: 



  • Managing small-medium IT projects and/or programs. 
  • Providing leadership to small-medium sized teams. 
  • Providing clear professional verbal and written communication to a variety of recipients, including employees and clients. 
  • Managing multiple competing dynamic priorities; allocating and coordinating the provision of project resources. 
  • Technical project planning and coordination of software business solutions in a LAN/WAN Microsoft Windows environment.  
  • Experience with Enterprise Mobile Management products such as Airwatch or In-Tune  
  • Technical experience in or administration of one or more of the following technology disciplines:  
  • Active Directory & Exchange Administration  
  • Reporting – experience with Hyena 
  • Scripting – experience with Powershell 
  • Shared File & Print – Technical experience administering file shares
