Working as part of a dynamic, results-driven Information Technology (IT) department, you are responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the Technical Services team. Our team is responsible for all data center operations, server and storage hosting, physical and virtual server infrastructure, and all information systems management. You manage and guide the technical team to ensure all systems are available, accessible and online. You liaise with the Enterprise Architecture Office on infrastructure direction, standards and trends, and you contribute to the strategic technology direction and standards for server and storage hardware. You oversee the functionality, reliability, and stability of all systems, by ensuring appropriate backup and recovery, disaster recovery, capacity monitoring, and planning are completed.
You excel at leading and motivating team members. You have excellent listening and communication skills, and you lead by example. You meet goals with a strong commitment to quality and reliability. You are an analytical thinker who understands the details, while having a customer focus, with an ability to ensure the solution aligns with strategic business objectives.
You have a Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or other IT related discipline, with extensive experience building, maintaining and providing support for enterprise hosting environments.
You have extensive experience with the following:
- Building and maintaining server environments in an IT setting;
- Designing, building and maintaining system management tools at an enterprise level;
- Designing, building and maintaining virtual server environments;
- Experience building, maintaining and providing support for SAN environments and Windows server environments;
- Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning, design, implementation and testing
