Store Manager

Victoria, BC

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Store Manager is responsible for managing the operations, staffing and sales/profit goals in a single assigned retail store. This

position ensures total compliance with all store operations policies.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sells merchandise to customers by following GNC’s prescribed selling methods
  • Manages the store’s inventory within GNC guidelines: re-order, receive, check and shelve all merchandise orders as well as confirm all purchase orders
  • Monitors best sellers and identify product demand
  • Adheres to GNC's quality control program for stock rotation, infestation control, outside inspections and all maintenance problems
  • Adheres and implements visual merchandising best practices in line with GNC guidelines
  • Keeps store clean and uncluttered
  • Manages work schedules within established budgets for optimal store coverage
  • Communicates sales targets and drives team performance
  • Recruits, hires, trains, disciplines, reviews and terminates employees
  • Completes succession planning of high performers
  • Reads all merchandising bulletins in order to understand product assortment and answer product questions based on
  • Company approved information
  • Implements all appropriate merchandising information in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring GNC's standard of
  • store presentation
  • Performs all register operations.
  • Completes all daily register, store open/close functions and bank deposits according to GNC policies and procedures
  • Monitors Stores LP activities and escalates concerns to District Manager and Loss Prevention
  • Monitors sales targets and ensures store sales performance meets or exceeds expectations
  • Facilitates community engagement and client loyalty through innovative and creative outreach
  • Drives GNC’s loyalty programs and incentives and ensures team is set up for successful engagement of customers
  • Facilitates grass roots marketing practices in line with GNC standards and best practices to create brand awareness
  • Ensures company assets are protected and not exposed to risks and conflicts of interest
  • Facilitates an exceptional customer service experience through all channels of interaction
  • Meets or exceeds all corporate set goals, expectations and key performance indicators
  • Additional duties as assigned


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for supervising a team of employees.
