Solutions Architect, Messaging
$79,530.36 - $90,884.16 annually plus 9.9% Temporary Market Adjustment

The Solutions Architect, Messaging is responsible for the integration and consolidation of enterprise technical architectures and platforms in support of Ministry or Government strategic and operational goals. This role organizes, and manages projects concerned with the implementation of new infrastructures and services that will support the business applications and data resources of the Ministry or Government, and devises ways to efficiently share common services and technology components in a secure environment.
Qualifications for this role include:
- Degree, diploma, certification or equivalent in the computer science field; or a combination education, training and relevant experience.
- A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in each of the following areas:
- Application development using Developer tools and compiler/scripting languages to support product integration and value-add functionality for the messaging service
- Planning, development, and testing of new technical solutions.
- Researching and evaluating all facets of technology architecture and new technologies.
- Microsoft Technologies such as: Powershell, C#; Structured Query Language (SQL) server, ASP.net, Visual Basic.net (VB), ADO.Net or Windows data centre technologies.
- Writing technical and business documentation such as, technical design documents, architecture diagrams and technical roadmaps.
- Experience with Microsoft Messaging Services On-Premises and Cloud technologies (for example including Integration of other services such as: SharePoint, Office 365, Skype for Business, Exchange 2016 and Exchange Online, Azure, Infrastructure as a Service, Software as a Service).
- Experience using project management methodology and IT change management processes.
