Rook & Rose is a fast-growing floral design company with a retail store, studio space, and events department based in Victoria, as well as a wholesale division based in Los Angeles. We're in regular collaboration with international companies in various industries, including Louis Vuitton, iLoveCreatives, Nora Agency, Egg Studio, and No Revisions.


Our Retail Sales Associate’s main focus is on achieving daily sales goals and upholding brand standards in the merchandising and aesthetic of our retail store.

The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing and goal-driven, with experience providing exceptional retail service experiences. They have a willingness to learn and take on new challenges, working in a startup culture environment alongside a passionate team of creatives.


  • Build customer loyalty through friendly in-store experiences, getting to know our regulars, and establishing an authentic rapport 
  • Use your product knowledge to sell products and educate customers about our products and brand
  • Support all contact channels and departments by successfully handling inquiries via phone, email, and other channels as assigned
  • Accurately receive stock, reconcile invoices, update inventory, calculate prices, and merchandise products
  • Have a positive impact daily, take initiative to resolve issues, and always clearly communicate with both clients and colleagues
  • Maintain high team focus through strong leadership, cooperation, and support to colleagues in the pursuit of department goals
  • Communicate relevant sales, standards, expectations, policy changes, and product knowledge to team
  • Ensure in-store and online stores are fully stocked, priced and rotated, following established merchandising procedures
  • Manage monthly inventory counts and reports
  • Work with Business Development and Marketing teams for events and sales
  • Ensure brand standards are maintained across all client deliverables
  • Responsible for the profitability of the store’s sales and margin goals 


  • Minimum 2 years in a similar role, ideally with a design-based business
  • Strong familiarity with Mac OS, Shopify and ShopifyPOS
  • Ability to meet and exceed sales goals with successful sales techniques and effective communication
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to confidently handle deadlines
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • A keen ability to handle and prioritize multiple requests simultaneously
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
  • Strong people skills, demonstrated by actively cultivating relationships with brands, clients, and coworkers
  • Experience in community building and passionate about delivering exceptional experiences
  • Detail-oriented and thorough, with an interest in consistently tracking the impact of your efforts
  • Entrepreneurially-minded, eager to learn and take on new and varied responsibilities
