Registered Veterinary Technologist (Technician) RVT

Langford, BC

We have been very busy since our opening and are looking to add an experienced Registered Veterinary Technologist (Technician) to our team. We are looking for someone with at least 1 year of veterinary experience in surgery and anesthesia.


Pay: depends on experience, pay range is $30-$40.


Our facility:

 

  • Located at 111-1057 Langford Parkway.
  • 2,200 s.f. facility, plus 1,300 s.f. attached warehouse/ utilities area, no shortage of space!
  • The floor plan was designed by an architect specializing in veterinary practices for optimal workflow.
  • 4 spacious exam rooms.
  • All new top-of-the line equipment.
  • Dedicated x-ray room with lead-lined walls for your protection.
  • Air conditioning and ventilation.
  • Janitorial service to clean and disinfect the facility on regular basis.


We are looking for:

 

A Registered Veterinary Technologist (Technician) with a minimum of 1 year experience.

Experience and confidence in surgery and anesthesia is essential.


Key duties and responsibilities:

  • anesthesia,
  • surgery,
  • dentistry,
  • in house lab services,
  • radiology.


We offer:

 

  • Salary $30-40 hourly,
  • Full-time at 40 hours per week, part-time hours negotiable,
  • Paid sick days (5 days per year, if not used, will be paid out as bonus at the year end),
  • Paid vacation (for full-time position: 2 weeks paid vacation and 1 week unpaid),
  • Health benefits include extended health and dental, plus Health Spending Account (premiums paid by the employer, extended benefits at $500 per practitioner, no doctor’s note for massage is required),
  • CE allowance,
  • Figs (or alternative) uniform provided, plus allowance,
  • Products at cost,
  • Services at generous discount,
  • No weekend or evening hours.
  • Work hours: 8.45 am -5.15 pm with 30-minute lunch break.


About the owner:


Thank you for your interest in this job posting. Dr. Martin Klein was born and raised on Vancouver Island and obtained his biology degree at the University of Victoria. He graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon in 2012 and has practiced as an associate veterinarian in Maple Ridge and Victoria until opening Westshore Pet Clinic.


Martin, his wife and their two sons enjoy living in Langford. When not working, they spend time at hockey rinks and exploring the West coast.
