RECRUITMENT ADVISORS

As a key member of the recruitment team, you will deliver an exceptional candidate experience; provide input into the talent acquisition strategy; engage and communicate with prospects considering a career with BC Ferries. You will, as part of a regional team, report to the Senior Manager, Talent Strategies. You are familiar with competency frameworks and their use to match fit between role and candidate; you will expertly manage end-to-end recruitment for your portfolio.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Being the first point of contact for the People Services team with respect to any and all recruitment files, including creating captivating external ad text;
  • Building strong relationships with our internal stakeholders and helping to guide them to ‘best in practice’ while continually improving the recruitment process;
  • Reviewing all external applicants in icims, creating an engaging candidate experience through timely and direct feedback;
  • Research, develop and implement new talent acquisition strategies for targeted and timely recruitment;
  • Source external, passive candidates and promote the many career options at BC Ferries.

  

Complementing these skills, you bring some experience with multi-disciplinary recruitment within a unionized environment, a strong capacity to manage multiple project files concurrently, and deliver timely reports to client groups and senior leadership. You remain current of employment and human rights considerations, as well as the changing labour market dynamics and candidate communities. A deep understanding of the marine industry is a distinct advantage.

 

Finally, if you have 2+ years in a large, geographically dispersed operation along with some formal post secondary education in Human Resources, Business or a related field.
