Marketing & Communications Manager/Specialist

Permanent Part time Position (20-30 hours per week) with potential to grow to a full-time role.

The Chateau Victoria Hotel & Suites is looking for a creative innovator to drive our marketing efforts in support of maximizing our hotel’s revenue growth as our industry recovers from the global pandemic. Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, the position has several distinct areas of responsibility including but not limited to:


  • Creating a marketing plan with the Director of Sales & Marketing that supports the hotel’s recovery & growth
  • Managing websites for the hotel, restaurant, and cocktail lounge
  • Managing all social media channels for the hotel, restaurant, and cocktail lounge (three distinct yet centralized brands)
  • Building and maintaining current digital assets for the hotel, restaurant and bar (logos, fonts, colour pallet, photo and video files)
  • Managing photography projects
  • Creating In-house graphic design for print and digital advertising projects
  • Working with advertising partners on timely delivery of all projects
  • Creating, Executing & analyzing digital marketing campaigns
  • Performing and presenting periodic reporting on relevant marketing performance
  • Assisting with timely and accurate hotel communication
  • Assist department managers with any promotional activities
  • Support Sales & Operations personnel when required. 


  • 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Post-secondary education in a related field
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Basic graphic design/digital marketing training or experience
  • Strong written communication
  • Thorough understanding of PPC best practices
  • Tourism or hospitality experience an asset 

Desired Software Skills:

  • Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva Graphic systems
  • Microsoft Office or Google Suite
  • Buffer or Hootsuite knowledge
  • Google Ads
  • Google Analytics 
  • Paid social media ads
  • CRM/S&C system experience
  • WordPress website management
