Lead Carpenter

We are expanding our crew and looking for a couple of excellent carpenters to join our crew. We are known to be an inclusive company with a diverse crew.

This is an on-site Lead Carpenter-Site Manager position required to oversee and undertake hands-on running of GReen Island Builders project works from formal site set-up to practical completion. The role will be supported by a PM or PC when required and in turn provide proactive learning moments and guidance to GIB crew members. Attention to detail, timing, costs and quality alongside solid communication form part of this integral role within GIB.

QUALIFICATIONS

A diploma or certificate in Site Management or Supervision, Red Seal ticket, or related experience would be an Asset 

Experience & Knowledge On-Site Site Manager/Lead Carpenter experience

Construction Industry experience: 

• Able to read and interpret building plans and technical drawings.

• Understands Engineering and Architectural Terminology

• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes

• Practical building skills and renovation
