IT Network Administrator

Latitude Technologies Corporation

Based in British Columbia out of Victoria or Kelowna, the IT Network Administrator will provide support to the SKYTRAC internal infrastructure (network and desktop) and assist in complex IT / networking projects. This includes performing remote and onsite troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and insightful questions, determining the best solution based on the issue and details provided.


A typical day includes:

•    Participate in internal and external stakeholder driven project implementation

•    Assist stakeholders with infrastructure configuration

•    Administration and support of the internal network including Infrastructure expansion / upgrade projects.

•    Provide end-user training as required

•    Maintain internal and external documentation

•    Ability to work flexible hours with an on-call rotation schedule


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

•    Technical designation in IT/Computer Science

•    Advanced communication skills (English, speaking and writing)

•    Strong business aptitude

•    Ability to coordinate cross-functional resources to problem resolution

•    Innate follow-up and follow-through skills

•    Stress tolerance

•    Genuine customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills

•    Strong project management skills with the ability to multi-task and thrive under pressure

•    Detail oriented


PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

•    Minimum 5 years experience in IT/networking

•    Advance experience with Microsoft applications (Exchange/Office 365, Server OS and Active Directory)

•    Advanced experience with networking (layer 2/3), switching, routers, firewalls, VPN

•    Knowledge and experience with large scale WIFI technology

•    Relevant industry RF certification or equivalent experience desired

•    Aviation knowledge an asset

•    Technical writing experience is beneficial
