Inventory Controller

StarFish Medical has an opportunity in Victoria, BC, for a highly organized Inventory Controller who is looking for that special company where a creative, collegial, and supportive culture is so important. As the Inventory Controller you are an expert resource for inventory control throughout the manufacturing cycle and you are passionate about process improvement, efficiency and delivering improved productivity at every step of the product lifecycle.

Reporting to the Supply Chain and Production Manager, the Inventory Controller will ensure stock is organized, accurate and stored efficiently. You will take pride in maintaining the cleanliness of the inventory areas and will have primary responsibility for conducting and reporting cycle counts and executing the kitting process.

• Salary range : $42,500 -52,000

• Completing daily cycle counts and weekly reports to meet department metrics
• Picking/issuing work orders, scheduling and executing the kitting process
• Maintaining floor stock of POU and Kanban items
• Organizing and maintaining cleanliness of the controlled inventory areas
• Processing transactions within ERP
• Planning and monitoring material movement to ensure continuous operations
• Managing Shortage Process

• Degree/Diploma preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with procurement, inventory or production control in a quality manufacturing environment is desired
• Experience with demand management, master scheduling, production control or inventory control is preferred
• ERP/ MRP experience desired
• Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO9001,13485 is beneficial

• Effective communication skills and experience working with suppliers, management and peers required
• Highly organized and able to undertake and prioritize a multitude of tasks
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
