POSITION SUMMARY
Employees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (Assembly) provide professional non-partisan services to support the democratic institution of Parliament and its members through procedural advice, administrative support and information services. The Assembly is an autonomous employer, separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies.
Human Resource Operations is seeking a knowledgeable, collaborative and customer service oriented professional for the regular full-time position of Human Resources Consultant, Member Services (HR Consultant).
Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), the Human Resources Consultant, Member Services (HR Consultant) is accountable for providing human resources consulting services that support the unique needs of MLAs and caucus executives (clients). The HR Consultant develops, designs and delivers HR programs and provides advice and recommendations on employment related issues. The position is responsible for building a client - partner relationship with MLAs and caucus management, creating synergies that support core HR programs while applying innovation to create customized services and solutions for clients. The incumbent is also responsible for providing expert, professional advice to MLAs and caucus management on complex, sensitive, and contentious HR management and labour relations issues.

QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must have an undergraduate degree in human resource management, business administration, Applicants must have an undergraduate degree in human resource management, business administration, organizational development or labour relations and a minimum of five years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. A Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is an asset.
