Tally-Ho Carriage Tours is looking for full and part time horse professionals to join our team. If you are an experienced horse handler who enjoys meeting new people and working outdoors, we have the best ‘office’ on the planet!

Carriage Drivers

As a horse-drawn carriage driver with Tally-Ho you work one-on-one with your horse each day, developing a meaningful, trust-based partnership; contribute to the horses’ health and happiness; showcase the strength, beauty and goofy personalities of the horses to the public; provide fun, entertaining and informative tours to both local residents and guests from all over the world; and work with a fun-loving, supportive team of people.

• Potential to earn over $32/hour (wage + gratuities).
• Day or evening shifts available.
• Full training provided on how to safely drive draft horses in rural and urban settings.
• Full training provided on the history of Victoria and surrounding areas.
• Candidates may also be trained for, and obtain, a 'heavy trailer endorsement' on their driver’s license (to tow a trailer weighing over 10,000 pounds).

Sales (Host/ess)

The sales person is often the first point of contact with our guests, establishing a friendly and inviting atmosphere that entices people into our world. At the forefront of downtown operations, this is a fast-paced, multi-tasking role that requires excellent customer service and organizational skills, a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

• Potential to earn over $26/hour (wage + gratuities + commission).
• Day or evening shifts available.
• Full training provided on sales, customer service, and reservation/payment management.

Qualifications

Successful candidates should enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; be able to multi-task; and be an active team player. Qualifications include:

• Two years of customer service experience, demonstrating friendliness, helpfulness and care.
• Proficient English. Additional languages are considered an asset.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Additional qualifications for carriage drivers:

• Three years of horse experience in any variety of discipline(s), including handling, care and partnership development. Previous carriage driving experience not required.
• Valid class 5 driver’s license (Novice [N] minimum) and a clean driving record.
