Head of Sales

We're looking for a digital hustler who's hungry and wants to sell and lead a sales team.
If you're someone who wants to help us build an 8-figure media company and be rewarded for the growth of the company, then you're probably who we're looking for.
About us:
We run over a dozen different newsletter-focused publications in Canada, with 350,000+ email subscriptions, 4,000+ paying members, and 1M+ web visitors monthly. We also run events that get 1,000+ people out each month.
What you'll do:
- Own the whole cycle of our publication ads and sponsorships, from prospecting to pitching to closing, to retaining (together with the founder).
- Build and lead a team of salespeople, mentoring and teaching colleagues (note: you will be executing and managing, not just managing).
About you:
- You have proven media and newsletter sales experience.
- You have attention to detail.
- You can present and communicate extremely well.
- You're savvy with all the digital tools and can learn quick.
Logistics:
- You live somewhere in Canada and are cool working remotely (we'll get you a WeWork all access pass if there's one near you).
- You'll be a contractor with us, and if all goes well can become a FT employee (and get health benefits).
- You'll get paid a base and earn commission on your sales and what your team brings in.
