Our hotel is looking for a highly skilled and experienced front office manager to lead our busy front desk team. In this position, you will be responsible for directing and administering all front office operations , while making sure that guest satisfaction is always top of mind. Our perfect candidate is an accomplished leader with a proven track record of managing a busy font desk team, and someone who can lead the team to provide personal and instinctive customer service. Who we are

The Westin Bear Mountain Resort & Spa, Victoria, is a world-class 5-star property with 91 rooms, two restaurants and a bar and lounge area, a 300-person ballroom as well as meeting and conference facilities with several amenities including a new state of the art Spa. We are a Westin branded hotel that falls under the Marriott umbrella.

About the job

  • Daily management of the Front Office operation and its relation to all operational departments as the main hub of communication.
  • Ensure staffing levels cover business demands.
  • Responsible for the comfort and safety of every guest that visits the hotel and the hiring of competent staff to care for the guests in the way that is expected.
  • Evaluate guest satisfaction through a daily analysis of our Guest Satisfaction Survey scores and monitor trends with a focus on continuous improvement through corrective action.
  • Operate within departmental budgets through effective cost controls and well managed schedules.
  • Monitor the appearance, standards and performance of the front desk team with an emphasis on training and teamwork.
  • Ensure team members have an up-to-date knowledge of all resort products, services, events, activities and amenities.
  • Maintain good communication and working relationships with all departments as well as with external customers and suppliers.
  • Ensure all brand standards are complied with and that policies and procedures are consistently applied.
  • Responsible for training and coaching of front desk staff.
  • Night Audit shifts may be required as needed.
