Rook & Rose is a fast-growing floral design company with a retail store, studio space, and events department based in Victoria, as well as a wholesale division based in Los Angeles. We're in regular collaboration with international companies in various industries, including Louis Vuitton, iLoveCreatives, Nora Agency, Egg Studio, and No Revisions.



Our Floral Designer’s main focus is on the care and organization of all fresh and dried flowers, timely order fulfillment, and flower inventory management. 

The ideal candidate is a friendly, detail-oriented individual with a strong grasp of floral design basics and an existing knowledge of our brand standards and aesthetic. They have a willingness to learn and take on new challenges, working in a startup culture environment alongside a passionate team of creatives.


  • General flower care, conditioning and design prep for the retail store, weddings/events team, and wholesale department
  • Inventory management, stock rotation, and record keeping of shrinkage
  • Use task management apps (Asana, etc) to communicate information and store needs to relevant departments
  • Work with department leads to ensure timeliness, clarity, and quality of tasks assigned
  • Support all contact channels by successfully handling inquiries and orders via email, phone, and other channels as assigned
  • Ensure brand standards are maintained across all client deliverables
  • Offer sales floor support during peak retail hours
  • Support department leads with creative concepts, moodboards, lookbooks, and design templates 
  • Contribute in brainstorming meetings and creative sessions and providing insight around emerging creative trends



  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role at a retail or studio florist
  • Solid understanding of color theory and event/everyday design mechanics 
  • Experience working with dried and fresh flowers
  • A self-motivated, creative thinker with a strong work ethic 
  • The ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • A keen ability to handle and prioritize multiple requests simultaneously
  • Experience conditioning flowers, inventory tracking, and back-room organization
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
  • Strong people skills, demonstrated by actively cultivating relationships with brands, clients, and coworkers
  • Entrepreneurially-minded and eager to learn and take on new responsibilities
  • Experience with Shopify and ShopifyPOS an asset
