As Finance and Operations Manager, you will be accountable for all the office, administrative and various operations aspects of the business. This includes but is not restricted to Cash Balancing, AP/AR, Internal Communications, Inventory Control and Claims, Facility and Equipment, and IT. You will also support the retail team through assistance with process development and internal/external communication. The team reporting to you in this role include a part time Cash Balancer, a Front End Manager and an Inventory Control Manager, who can assist with Facility and Equipment and IT matters.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Finance Management – Oversee and manage all financial functions of the business including but not limited to accounts payable, account receivable and cash handling.
- Inventory Control – Oversee inventory claims and adjusting.
- Reporting and Analysis – Distribution of corporate memos and policies, providing clerical support primarily to the store owner, prepare month end and year end reports.
- Operational Activities – Oversee and manage all building and equipment maintenance.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education or equivalent.
- Accounting or Business Administration Diploma or Degree would be an asset.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar managerial role.
- Administrative experience in the retail industry would be an asset.
- Proficient in office software systems such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Possesses strong oral and written communication skills.
- Highly approachable individual who possesses solid administrative skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to motivate and coach others as well as provide feedback.
- Ability to plan, organize, delegate and follow up on team's activities and projects.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions.
- Ability to multitask, adapt and cope with challenging situations.
