Environmental Co-op (Victoria, BC)

This opportunity is for a 4-month co-op from September 2021 till December 2021.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Assisting with erosion and sediment control monitoring for Land Development projects
  • Hands on experience with environmental field data collection
  • Environmental Assessment: desktop literature reviews using public data sources and baseline data collection
  • Environmental Site Assessment: desktop reviews and assisting with soil, groundwater, surface water and soil vapor sampling.
  • Assist with fish and wildlife salvages and migratory nest surveys, as appropriate
  • Assist with construction inspection, survey assistance, as appropriate


What You’ll Bring:

  • 3rd or 4th year student of an environmental engineering or biology program from a recognized university, previous coop experience is considered an asset
  • Ideally, the successful candidate would have technical knowledge in GIS, MS Suite of Products (word, excel, etc.)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to function in a high volume, deadline
