Digital Marketing Content Strategist

Victoria, BC

We are searching for a passionate storyteller with an eye for strategy to join our growing Marketing Excellence team as a Staff Consultant. Our team is part of EY Design Studio, (Innovation and Experience Design), a small but mighty team within the Business Consulting service line of EY Canada. As we work towards our mission of being Canada’s premier end-to-end digital design studio, we need more hands on deck. This is an exciting time to join our team, as this position will play a valuable role in accelerating growth and crafting outstanding work in the Studio’s content strategy and marketing capability.

Your Key Responsibilities


In one sentence, this role will be responsible for helping our clients deliver engaging and unique messaging to their customers.


You will be accountable for storytelling, strategy-backed copywriting, and content strategy. This work will drive value for a variety of clients across a diverse range of industries. This role requires a confident innovator and a progressive thinker who can connect digital and traditional marketing tactics to all aspects of a client's business – driving opportunities.


You will support cross-functional strategies and operations with internal and external teams including brand, media, communications, and product marketing. Working with our clients to support strategy, priorities, capabilities, and deliver on ambitious goals. You will be working at the intersection of content, business, analytics, and marketing.


To qualify for the role, you must have:


  • At least 1 year of experience crafting content and marketing strategies (Including any internships or Co-ops).
  • Experience in drafting marketing plans, budgets, strategies, and storytelling
  • Feels confident speaking up and advocating for customer needs
  • Feels comfortable working with, and adapting marketing approaches to, a variety of brands, services, products and industries
  • General experience working with MarTech tools is appreciated. This may include: Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Facebook Manager, Google Ads, Google tag manager, CRM, CDP, and more
  • Experience building full funnel marketing strategies using a variety of channels
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and a good mixture of strategic and creative thinking
  • Comfortable with collaborating, aggregating, and synthesizing information with a variety of teams both internal and external (including those outside of marketing and outside of Canada)
  • Up-to-date on general industry and consumer trends 
  • Ability to take ownership over your work and come to the table as a subject matter expert
  • Certificate or higher in marketing, business, communications, journalism, or related field appreciated
