Development Operations Specialist
$72,724.97 - $83,014.85 annually plus 9.9% Temporary Market Adjustment
The Ministry of Citizens’ Services performs a dynamic, corporate leadership role in government to support the development of an innovative, modern and robust technology environment; to improve accessible and responsive services and information to citizens; and to provide enabling infrastructure for ministries and the broader public sector to transform how government works on a day-to-day basis.
As the Development Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a fully automated DevOps development and production environment. This will include automated code migration, and testing processes and tools for effective iterative software development. You will also be evaluating existing applications and platforms to provide recommendations for improving performance, and conduct analysis to identify alternative solutions.
Qualifications for this role include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- 3 or more years’ experience as a Development Operations Specialist.
- Experience configuring continuous integration and continuous development environments.
- Experience using Jenkins and similar continuous integration technologies.
Preference may be given to applicants with the following:
- Experience with developing or deploying applications on the OpenShift container Platform.
- Experience using Cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) application hosting technologies and services.
- Experience with API development.
