DRIVER/LABOURER

If you’re looking for an independent, laid-back work environment that allows you to work outdoors and stay active year-round, then this is a perfect position for you! Each day is different and you’ll get to work in all areas of the South Island. Working as a driver laborer provides a great mix of 50/50 driving and labor. Jobs vary from a single furniture item pick up in the driveway, to entire office/house clean-outs. You’ll never go home empty-handed and there are always awesome ‘junk’ finds.

POSITION TYPE:

Part-Time & Full-Time positions available

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Class 5 Drivers License (full)
Clean Driving Record
Self-motivated.
Good Time Management.
Ability to problem-solve and perform professionally in a service role
Enjoy working with your hands.
Enjoy working outdoors.
Technologically savvy -- basic use of invoicing/reporting software.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

Communicate with clients throughout the job process prior to arrival and on the job site.
Provide on-site estimates and communicate pricing and job completion process
Drive trucks to and from various job and disposal sites safely and respectfully
Load various materials from a client's home, yard, or business into the truck
Sort material for proper disposal -- recycle, donate and disposal.
Use of job application and invoicing software —on mobile phone/tablet
Accept payments on-site using a point of sale machine
Record job and vehicle maintenance data.

COMPENSATION / JOB DETAILS:

Pay:

$19 - $22 / hr + Tips (equating to $1.75 - $2.50 / hour additional )
