The Westin Bear Mountain is presently hiring for the position of Accounting Technician.
Responsibilities:
· Processing supplier invoices and employee expenses for timely payment
· Monitoring adherence to purchasing/authorization policies and following up as required
· Reconciling vendor accounts/statements and responding to inquiries
· Overseeing Provincial sales tax compliance on purchases
· Travelling to bank weekly to pay bills and pickup coin orders
· Maintaining filing system
· Providing backup for other accounting functions, including accounts receivable
· Working effectively with the Accounting Team
· Other accounting functions as required
Required qualifications:
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accounting environment
· Experience with accounting software considered an asset
· Completion of a Diploma in Accounting preferred
· Proficient with MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills
· A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
· Strong problem solving and analytical skills
· Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
