Salary: $46,182.50 - $52,157.99 annually

The Stakeholder Engagement branch within the Ministry of Health has responsibility for communicating and engaging with health sector stakeholders and the public on the ministry’s strategic priorities, including primary care, seniors and community care and the surgical strategy. The branch also supports internal and stakeholder communications for the ministry’s COVID-19 response. It reports directly to the Deputy Minister and has a cross-divisional mandate to support the communications and engagement efforts of these priority areas. It deals with high profile and often confidential information.

Reporting to the Director, the coordinator is responsible for providing project management support services for stakeholder engagement activities, including providing administrative and financial support services, liaising with ministry executive offices and drafting supporting documents. This role is key in supporting the communications and engagement activities of the branch, including proactively managing stakeholder contacts, creating presentations and developing and updating templates and organizing meetings and events, including webinars.

Job Requirements:

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED) and 2 years of *related experience.

*Related experience must include 1 year in each of the following:

  • Experience in taking initiative and working proactively to identify needs of the branch/ and or team and suggest solutions.
  • Experience using tact and judgement to manage confidential and sensitive issues.
  • Experience creating, editing, proofreading, and formatting a variety of documents.
  • Experience providing project management support services.

Preference may be given to candidates with the following:

  • Diploma in Business Administration, Communications, or in a related field and 1 year of *related experience.
  • Experience working in a communications environment.
  • Experience working with graphic design programs or content management software, such as Drupal.
  • Experience leading, planning, and managing events or large meetings, including financials and contract procurement.
