New City Contracting is looking for Carpenters for various exterior and interior projects. We are looking for carpenters with a positive attitude, willingness to work with a group, and who are able to learn at a fast pace.
Responsibilities:
- Backing/ blocking, formwork, wall and parapet framing, sheathing, and strapping/rain screening
- Finish work and rough framing
- Hardi siding installation, rot repair, insulation, and interior finishing
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Plan timelines and meet deadlines
- Other duties as assigned
- Be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Carpenter
- Experience with Concrete and with Lift ticket is preferred.
- Commitment to the job site safety and project quality
- Understanding of construction procedures, equipment, and Safety Guidelines
- Excellent organizational and execution skills
- Experience using construction machinery is an asset
- Good physical condition and stamina
