Job Description

The administrative associate supports the initiatives of the Global Recruitment and Partnerships team to support the effective implementation and coordination of the unit’s operations, budgets and activities. As the associate, your primary responsibility is to ensure administrative accuracy and coordination to support the University’s integrated recruitment strategy and international strategic plan. This will involve supporting the Managers, Regional/Education Specialists and Global Partnership Coordinators with planning, scheduling, coordinating, financial tracking, follow-up procedures and commission related to student recruitment initiatives, events and travel.

Job Requirements

  • College diploma in Business Administration (or related field) plus three years’ relevant work experience including administrative and operational responsibilities.
  • Proven ability in office coordination including financial abilities, communication, event planning and presentation skills.
  • Proven accuracy, strong attention to detail and highly organized to support a variety of multi-faceted virtual and physical events at one time.
  • Ability to build and sustain positive, productive and supportive relationships with team members, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Responsible, competent, versatile and results oriented.
  • Ability to demonstrate independent initiative to identify administrative issues and implement practical, workable solutions.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with a high degree of discretion.
  • Advanced computer skills: Windows, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and PowerPoint+), Internet, Web software, database management, event management, project management, budget tracking and computer graphics software.
  • Some travel including evenings and weekends may be required.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.


An ideal candidate would also possess (asset, not required):

  • Royal Roads University education.
  • Experience in an academic environment.


Additional Information

This is a regular, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. This position has been evaluated at ADM-C with a salary range of $48,142(minimum) to $56,637 (midpoint) to $65,133 (maximum) per annum. Employment offers will normally be made between the minimum and midpoint of the range and are determined by knowledge, experience and internal equity.
