Administrative Assistant

Burkett & Co. Chartered Professional Accountants is a Victoria-based firm providing accounting and tax services to small and medium sized businesses as well as high-net-worth individuals and their families. We are currently seeking an organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant/Client Coordinator to join our talented team. The ideal candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills with strong experience in Microsoft Office. This is a full-time position reporting directly to the Office Manager.


Administrative Assistant/Client Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare materials for client meetings, assist with setting up client meetings debriefs and follow ups
  • Maintain client database, electronic, and paper files
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our existing and new clients both on the phone and by email/mail correspondence
  • General office orderliness, prep boardrooms for meetings, co-ordinate boardroom availability
  • Co-ordinate travel arrangements, business and personal for management, as required
  • Mail opening and sorting, mail services for clients, prepare packages and coordinate with courier & mail service
  • Monitor and maintain office supply inventory
  • Oversee maintenance of office equipment (fax, copier, scanners etc.), office furniture and lights, communicate with janitorial staff
  • Maintain and update policy and procedure manuals and standard letters to CRA
  • Perform work related errands (i.e.: post office and bank runs) and other tasks, as requested by your supervisor


Qualifications

  • Previous administrative experience
  • Excellent client service and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Collaborative team player
  • Effective at handling varied roles and responsibilities while maintaining project deadlines
  • High regard for accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated and resourceful
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic computer/technical issues
  • Willingness to be flexible and work overtime as needed

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
