In the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General the Corporate Management Services Branch strives to provide excellence in corporate services and partner in both the Ministry of Attorney General’s and the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General’s outcomes. Our mission as a central, consolidated support services team is to support all the program areas and branches. The Branch provides central corporate services to all staff and branches/programs within both Ministries. The Branch leads the preparation of budget submissions and financial reporting, and provides oversight, progress reports, and expert advice and performs day to day functions to its clients on finances, strategic human resources, facilities, including Shared Services, communications and corporate risk and security. The Branch is also the lead strategic link between its partners and government’s central agencies.


As the Accounting Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising a team of employees through the verification and processing of financial transactions. This will include the resolution of complex payment and accounts receivable issues while working with a diverse group of clients and stakeholders.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below.

 

• Secondary School graduation or equivalent.

• Minimum of one of year experience in accounts receivable or accounts payable in an office environment

• Minimum of one of year supervisory experience including the assignment of work, managing leave and performance management.

• Experience using MS Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

• Preference may be given to candidates with experience working with Corporate Financial System – ORACLE Enterprise.
