Due to an exponential growth rate Hourigan’s Flooring is expanding its accounting department and is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to complement their team. This is a brand-new position which reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Sample Responsibilities:

Work with CFO and administrative staff to optimize processes for new ERP system.

Manage accounting activities of the company and oversight of administrative staff.

Perform accounting-related analyses, make monthly entries and complete account reconciliations.

Coordination/oversight of monthly close process, generation of monthly financial statements and related activities.

Provide vacation backup for key administrative staff

Ensure redundant knowledge of all key processes and administrative/accounting job functions.

Perform ad hoc analyses and other projects as directed by the CFO.

Job Requirements:

Strong people skills, flexibility, the ability to grow with the organization and a desire to positively contribute to a team-based culture.

Demonstrated supervisory/leadership experience with administrative/bookkeeping staff.

Detailed knowledge of, and experience with payroll administration, PST/GST reporting and other regulatory reporting.

Experience with full-cycle accounting, financial statements, and account reconciliation.

Proficient with Microsoft Excel.

Experience with ERP systems and an aptitude for technology and applications.

This position requires a two-year accounting diploma or relevant degree and a minimum of 6-8 years of appropriate accounting work experience.
